AASB Board

The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) is an independent accounting standard-setter based in Melbourne, Australia.

The Board comprises 14 members including the Chairman. The Chairman is appointed by the Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law and members, from a variety of backgrounds, are appointed by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).

The AASB is committed to developing, in the public interest, a single set of high quality, understandable accounting standards that require transparent and comparable information in general purpose financial statements.

The Board meeting dates are listed below. Unless otherwise specified, all meetings will be held in the Ken Spencer Room, AASB Offices, Level 7, 600 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
