Joanna Perry was appointed to the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) from 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2009.
Joanna has been chairman of New Zealand’s FRSB since 2004. She has also been a member of the Trans-Tasman Accounting and Auditing Advisory Group since its formation. In August 2008 she was appointed as a member of IFRIC. Joanna is a professional non-executive director and chartered accountant. Her current portfolio includes serving as an independent director of New Zealand companies: Genesis Power, Kiwi Income Property Trust, PSIS and AsureQuality. She is also a trustee of the Melanesian Mission Trust Board, a member of the Victorian Auditor General’s independent audit committee, a member of the independent audit committee of the Speaker of the New Zealand Parliament and a member of both the Policy Advisory Council and the New Zealand Regional Council of FINSIA. Joanna was a partner with KPMG in New Zealand for 18 years until March 2006. She was also a member of New Zealand’s Securities Commission for 11 years until April 2008.
