The AASB invites you to attend a roundtable meeting on ED 212 and ED 214

Invitation to attend a roundtable meeting on proposals regarding financial reporting by not-for-profit entities within the General Government Sector (GGS) and extending related party disclosures to the not-for-profit public sector.

You are invited to nominate to attend a roundtable meeting with members and staff of the AASB to discuss the AASB’s proposals in the following Exposure Drafts:

(a) ED 212 Not-for-Profit Entities within the General Government Sector; and
(b) ED 214 Extending Related Party Disclosures to the Not-for-Profit Public Sector

The proposals in ED 212 aim to substantially improve financial reporting by NFP entities within the GGS of the Federal, State and Territory Governments, having regard to cost/benefit considerations, GAAP/GFS harmonisation principles and the AASB’s other projects. ED 214 proposes to remove the exemption for NFP public sector entities from complying with the disclosure requirements set out in paragraphs 1-28 of AASB 124 Related Party Disclosures.

The roundtable meetings will provide a forum to discuss the proposals included in ED 212 and ED 214.
