Privacy Disclosure Statement - AASB Website

In accordance with the Guidelines for Federal Government World Wide Websites issued by the Australian Privacy Commission, the Australian Accounting Standards Board provides the following information in relation to privacy of personal information.
When you visit this site our Internet Service Provider (ISP), makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:
- your server address
- your top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc)
- the pages you accessed and the documents downloaded
- the type of browser you are using
No attempt is made to identify users or their browsing activities except in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the ISP's logs.
Your e-mail address will only be recorded if you choose to send us a message. It will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and will not be added to a mailing list unless agreed. We will not use your e-mail address for any other purpose, and will not disclose it without your consent.
The Internet is an insecure medium and users should be aware that there are inherent risks in transmitting information across the Internet. Information submitted via e-mail or web forms may be at risk of being intercepted, read or modified. If you do not wish to e-mail or send an online form to the AASB, you can send postal mail to the postal address shown under the “Contact Us” page on this site.
If we ask you for any other Personal Information* we will tell you how we intend to use that Personal Information if you choose to provide it to us.
