Masha Marchev (2012)

Masha Marchev

Masha completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts together with a Diploma of Modern Languages at the University of Melbourne in 2011, majoring in Accounting, German and French.

Her honours thesis examined the impact of the SEC’s Modernization of Oil and Gas Reporting, investigating the effect on value relevance of the change from the use of spot prices to the use of annual average prices in the standardized measure of future cash flows reported by oil and gas firms.

Prior to working at the AASB Masha tutored at the University of Melbourne, and completed vacation work at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Sustainability and Climate Change team.

At the AASB, Masha is working on a range of projects, including:

– Service Performance Reporting
– Fiscal Sustainability and Social Benefits
– Depreciation/Amortisation of Revalued Assets
– Present Value of Future Cash Flows
– Extractive Activities

After completing the AASB Graduate Program, Masha accepted a position at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
