Australia appointed to the Sustainability Standards Advisory Forum

The AASB is pleased to announce that Australia has been appointed to the Sustainability Standards Advisory Forum (SSAF) — a global advisory body established by the IFRS Foundation to support the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in developing a comprehensive global baseline for sustainability related disclosure for capital markets.

Australia will be represented on the SSAF by Charis Halliday, Director of Strategy and Co-Lead Sustainability, and Lachlan McDonald-Kerr, Director, Sustainability and Co-Lead, who will contribute technical expertise and jurisdictional insights to support the ISSB’s standard setting work.

This appointment strengthens Australia’s role in providing expertise to inform the ISSB’s technical priorities across its global standard-setting program.
